Kwetey explained that his decision is motivated by the need to sustain and deepen President John Dramani Mahama’s reset agenda, which he described as critical for repositioning the country and strengthening governance.
He emphasised that his continued leadership would enable him to ensure that the party remains focused on initiatives that benefit the nation, rather than being driven solely by narrow partisan interests.
According to Kwetey, his tenure has provided him with the experience and perspective necessary to guide the party through its ongoing political and organisational reforms.
He believes that continuity in leadership is essential for maintaining stability within the party.
