Deputy Minister of Finance and owner of The Crystal Clear Lens newspaper, Mr. Fiifi Kwetey, have been fingered as the source of the information that led two operatives of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and four gun-wielding police men besieging the private home at Cantonments where Mr. Asamoah-Boateng had parked his Peugeot 607.

According to sources, the Minister had called the Director of the BNI, Mr. Yaw Donkor to inform him that the former Minister was keeping the vehicle which he suspects to be a government vehicle in his friend's home to hide it from been taken away.

We gather that the Director of the BNI who has been dealt a series of defeats in the law courts by the former Minister and is running away from the general public decided to use this opportunity once again to teach Mr. Asamoah-Boateng a lesson.

"He called us quickly and told us to get to the scene and warned us to go along with media so that the former would be humiliated," a security source said.

"We were on orders to go with media houses aligned to the government and the Minister's newspaper was first on the list," the source stated.

When this paper contacted Mr. Fiifi Kwetey for his side he said the information was not true.

"I have never been to the BNI or the National Security since I was made a minister so your source has misled you, go to the BNI and check," he fumed.

He continued that, "Ya have gotten it wrong again. Your paper and the Daily Guide published that I was studying in the UK when it was a lie."

It would be recalled that last Thursday, two operatives of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and four police men besieged a private home at Cantonments belonging to a friend of Mr. Asamoah-Boateng to tow a Peugeot 607 parked there on suspicion that it belongs to the state.
