The final round of negotiations for a fiscal programme for Ghana by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is expected to begin on Thursday, November 6.
TV3 gathers the negotiations will involve meetings with officials of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry o Trade and Industry, Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, the Bank of Ghana and other key stakeholders.
The meeting will conclude the final date for the start of the three-year programme.
The programme has been tentatively scheduled to begin January, next year, a date the IMF has described too early.
Ghana’s negotiation team is led by Dr Kwesi Botchway while Joël Toujas-Bernaté leads IMF’s team.
