Finish addressing Bawumia’s incompetence before you turn to Mahama - Osei-Ampem to Samira Bawumia

Opposition NDC Women’s Organiser for the Eastern Region, Shirley Naana Osei-Ampem has lashed out at the wife of the Vice President, Mrs Samira Bawumia over her recent comments about the umbrella family.

Mrs Bawumia in an interview on Accra-based Asempa FM took a swipe at the erstwhile Mahama administration and termed it as one that was bereft of ideas to manage the country and place it on a good path.

“The alternative to NPP is empty,” she jabbed as she touted the achievements of the NPP in the economic sector under the auspices of his husband, Dr Mahamadu Bawumia.

Despite the rising cost of goods and services and the soaring hardship in the country, Samira Bawumia said their government had performed better than the NDC, urging the NDC to learn from his husband.

But in a sharp rebuttal, the Eastern Regional Women’s Wing described Samira’s comments as distasteful and urged her to make good use of her high office rather than to indulge in politics of insults.

In a statement signed by Madam Osei-Ampem, she urged Mrs Bawumia to address the incompetence of his husband before she turns to the NDC.

“Samira Bawumia I don’t think is oblivious of the fact that her husband Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the most incompetent Vice President Ghana has ever had in our history or perhaps she has forgotten what incompetence means.

“Incompetence is, when her husband, Dr Bawumia on National Television told the good people of Ghana that he had arrested the Cedi and given the key to the IGP yet the Cedi has depreciated from GHC4.20 to it highest of GHC5.8,” she said.

“Incompetence is when Dr Bawumia is touted as the best economics brain in his own government yet his name never appeared in the FX committee tasked to investigate the depreciation of the Cedi,” the vociferous women’s leader mocked.

It’s unfortunate that Samira Bawumia after rising to the high office of a second lady would still engage in politics of insults and name-calling.

She was captured on tape when she appeared at the studios of Asempa Fm yesterday calling the God-fearing President John Dramani Mahama incompetent.

Samira Bawumia I don’t think is oblivious of the fact that her husband Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is the most incompetent Vice President Ghana has ever had in our history or perhaps she has forgotten what incompetence means.

Incompetence is, when her husband, Dr Bawumia on National Television told the good people of Ghana that he had arrested the Cedi and given the key to the IGP yet the Cedi has depreciated from ghc4.20 to it highest of ghc5.8

Incompetence is when Dr Bawumia is touted as the best economics brain in his own government yet his name never appeared in the FX committee tasked to investigate the depreciation of the Cedi.

Incompetence is when her husband promised CCTV for every police station in Ghana yet not a single one can be found in any police station

Incompetence is when the NPP promised one Village one dam for the good people in the Northern part of the country but in the end, give them a dugout that cannot withstand dry season.

Incompetence is when her husband claims President John Mahama and the NDC borrowed Ghc 40billion in 8years but in less than 4years her husband and the NPP government have borrowed in excess over Ghc90 billion yet have nothing to show the good people of Ghana

Incompetence is when her husband deliberately distributed expired food items to his own people in the north.

Samira Bawumia should know her level and stop making loose talks as a second lady before we vent our anger on her.

Women are suffering, prices of goods and services keep rising and instead of the second lady using the huge amount of money allocated to her office in working to alleviate the plight of the suffering masses, she is rather misusing the money on useless propaganda and makeups.

Finally, Samira must take notice of the office she occupies and act accordingly and stop the irresponsible comments and insult that has the tendency of bringing the office she occupies into disrepute and public ridicule.
