Fire Service Ladies Association donates to Bawjiase orphans

Awutu Bawjiase (C/R), July 9, GNA- The Ladies Association of the Central Region branch of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has donated one million cedis cash and some items to the Children's Welfare Home at Bawjiase in the Central Region.

Ms Sophia Baidoo, President of the Association, presented the items, which included one carton of toilet soap, seven boxes of biscuits, 120 spoons and quantities of second hand clothing all worth two million cedis

Ms Baidoo said the donation was in response to an appeal made by the inmates and urged other public-spirited persons to help the Orphanage. Madam Emma Boafo, Proprietor of the Orphanage, thanked the association for its gesture and hoped other organisations would emulate the association.
