Fire destroys Royal TV studio

Fire broke out at Kumasi-based Royal TV, Thursday morning, destroying several equipment and furniture in one of the studios.

Reports however indicates that the incident occurred as a result of faulty electrical connections from an air conditioner.

According to mynewgh.com, the News Editor of Royal TV stated that the fire started at about 5am when the morning crew was set for the morning show prompting them to place an emergency call to fire firefighters who arrived an hour later to help put out the inferno.

However, no injuries were recorded but fire service personnel assured management of thorough investigation leading to the actual cause of fire.

As a result of the fire outbreak transmissions have been suspended by management due to some technical challenges.
