The First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, has commissioned a new Obstetric and Gynaecological Emergency Center, together with a Mothers Hostel at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital in the Central Region.
The Obstetric and Gynaecological Emergency Center was built by the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital using internally generated fund whiles the Mothers hostel was also donated by a philanthropist, Mr. Gustav Anokye Yeboah, Kweku Bee Abrante of www.ghananewsalert , reports from the venue.
Commissioning the two blocks, First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo called for a special attention to be given to pregnant women who abuse alcohol and other substances and not condemn them.
She applauded Mr. Gustav Anokye Yeboah for his kind gesture for women and children and further commended the Cape Coast teaching hospital for a quick transition from a Regional Hospital to a Teaching Hospital
The first lady , Rebecca Akuffo Addo congratulated Mr. Gustav Anokye Yeboah for his efforts in Ghana.
Mr. Gustav Anokye Yeboah called on other philanthropists to also support the hospital in any means possible to help make it the best in Africa. He also thanked the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital for giving the opportunity to express his gesture.
The Obstetric and Gynaecology Emergency Center,will expand the provision of specialist Obstetric and Gynaecology services to the people of the Central Region and the Southern half of Ghana and also serve as a facility for training of all professionals required to reduce Maternal mobility and mortality,
whiles the Mothers Hostel will also save mothers whose wards have been admitted at the hospital, from sleeping on floors whiles caring for their patients.
