Fisherman fines for assaulting his wife

Winneba, Sept 21, GNA - The Winneba magistrate court has fined a 42-year-old fisherman from Winneba 360 Ghana cedis for assaulting his wife, Madam Ama Adomah. Ekow Neeyi pleaded guilty and would go to prison for 12 months if he fails to pay the fine. Prosecuting Chief Police Inspector Paul Adamah told the court presided over by Mr. Ali Baba Abature that Madam Adomah has been insulting the husband and accused him of being responsible for their inability to have a child.

Winneba, Sept 21, GNA - The Winneba magistrate court has fined a 42-year-old fisherman from Winneba 360 Ghana cedis for assaulting his wife, Madam Ama Adomah. Ekow Neeyi pleaded guilty and would go to prison for 12 months if he fails to pay the fine. Prosecuting Chief Police Inspector Paul Adamah told the court presided over by Mr. Ali Baba Abature that Madam Adomah has been insulting the husband and accused him of being responsible for their inability to have a child.
She also accused Neeyi of flirting with other women. Chief Inspector Adamah said on September 15, Madam Adomah who had left the husband's house and was staying in a rented room, sent her niece to the husband's house to collect a plastic bucket she left there. The girl returned and informed her that the door was locked but she suspected there were people in the room. Madam Adomah rushed to the husband's house, forced the door open and caught his husband with another woman. She insulted Neeyi who responded by beating her.
