Aflao, April 01, GNA - An Aflao Circuit Court has remanded Dewodina Ativor a fisherman in prison custody for allegedly stealing a chief's stool, talking drums and six bottles of schnapps.

Plea of the accused was not taken and would reappear on April 27. Police Chief Inspector Albert Kofi Frimpong told the Court presided over by Group-Captain Martin Obeng-Ntim (Rtd) that on February 2 this year, Togbe Zewu, chief of Kedzi, a coastal community in the Keta District detected that the items were missing from his stool room. He said during investigations, the chief was informed by one Kingsley Kpornu, a taxi driver and another person who is a friend to the accused that they conveyed the accused person with some items wrapped in a cloth and a bag to Agbozume.

The prosecutor said Ativor who visited his wife at Kedzi was trailed to Agbozume where the items were found in an uncompleted building near his (Ativor) house and after investigations charged with the offence.
