Five arrested for forcibly removing DCE at Krachi West

Five people are in the grips of the Volta Regional Police Command for causing trouble at the office premises of the District Chief Executive for Krachi West, Oti Region on Monday.

The arrested persons are Mathias Banyolonso, Sarfo Sunkwa, Amos Eseikor, Tijani Shaibu and Murtala Yakubu.

A statement signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police, Mr David Senanu Eklu, noted that the perpetrators forcibly removed the DCE for Krachi West, Douglas Osei-Nti from his office and also locked the office, preventing the DCE from carrying out his duties

According to Mr Eklu, the suspects are being investigated for “assault by imprisonment, offensive Conduct, and causing unlawful damage among others.”
