Five initiatives by Akufo-Addo's government that have sparked controversies in Ghana

YEN.com.gh earlier reported that president Akufo-Addo said his administration has worked on strengthening the fundamentals of the Ghanaian economy and improved every aspect of the life of every Ghanaian.

But whatever the president is talking about has not sat well with some Ghanaians as they do not agree with his analysis.

However, YEN.com.gh has compiled a list of five initiatives that have sparked endless debates in Ghana.

1. National Cathedral:

The National Cathedral that have been disapproved by some Ghanaians because they money would be better in doing other developmental projects and also channeled to other sectors of the economy that is lacking

2. Blood drone:

Parliament is yet to approve the budget for the purchase of the drones which would be used for the supply of blood and other medical supplies.

Ghanaians believe the health sector should rather be equipped with the money rather than investing it in the drones

3. Creation of new regions:

The creation of new regions is not really needed considering the budget involved and the lissues regarding boundary demarcations, the country would be better off without the creation of new regions.

4. Digital Address System:

The Ghana post digital address system despite it being requirement for proper location of places, the system has been criticised by may saying the system was similar to some.

5. 110 Ministers:

The unprecedented number of ministers in the Akufo- Addo government stimulated debates among a cross-section of Ghanaians.

Some Ghanaians have also raised concerns about the apparent ineffectiveness of some ministries.
