Flagstaff House now 'Bribe Staff House' - Hannah Bissiw

A former deputy Minister of Water Resources Works and Housing and immediate past member of parliament for Tano South constituency in the Brong Ahafo Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Hannah Louisa Bissiw has lambasted the Akufo-Addo led administration for bringing extremely untold hardship on Ghanaians.

The vociferous and apt- elucidating former minister and MP made the assertion when she granted audience on ‘ Oman Yi Mu Nsem morning show on Ahotor FM in Tema, moderated by Onantefour Addae Munumkum on Tuesday 20/3/2018".

Hannah Bissiw contended and took a swipe at President Akufo Addo and his government for failing to provide the lists of all presidential aides and staffers at the Flagstaff house.

She revealed and bemoaned that the government should credit Ghanaians with some modicum of respect, by categorizing with documented evidence for the public on the actual amount of state resources which is being used to fund persons who have been stationed to assist presidential duties at the Flagstaff house.

Since the erstwhile John Drammani Mahama led government were made to undergo similar administrative rituals in 2013 after they had won power to govern during their second tenure in office and added in explained comparison that the then, government respectively published details and profiled each and every staffer at the presidency with its allocated designation in it proper context for the good people of Ghana.

Furthermore, she chronicled an avalanche of unfulfilled promises which were propagated and earmarked by the then NPP in opposition but hasn’t seen the light -of -day upon the assumption into office by President Nana Akufo-Addo in 2017.

Giving a study and speedy accounts on the incessant allegations of corruptions which have bedeviled the New Patriotic Party’s party’s regime for the past One year and some 6 months, Dr Bissiw labeled and christened the official seat of government the Flagstaff house, as the den and lake of thievery, theft and brazen robbery palace, which she mocked as ‘Bribe Staff House’

Citing several and cogent traces of corrupt acts which have received constant attestation and signature by the maverick and acerbic Assin Central lawmaker of the NPP in Parliament and business mogul, Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyepong.

Referencing related issues to buttress her tacit position, the former MP, hit hard on the corridors of civil society organizations and governance Think Tanks in order to bare teeth at government on recent painstaking happenings in the country, in view of bad economic policies and blatant disregard for law and order under the tutelage of President Akufo-Addo.

She, however, implored them to speak with authority and clear conscience about the ills in Ghana, which have the command to plunge the nation into chaos and anarchy.

Stating that it would be non-repairable situation to see Ghana destroyed by clueless and inexperienced persons who are manning the affairs of the state.

But was quick to credit and lauded the past NDC government which was led by John Dramnani Mahama for the Provision of massive and landmark infrastructural edifices in an unprecedented stature for the people of Ghana.

She has therefore admonished the government to desist from persistent lying to the Ghanaian populace and begin to show signs of seriousness and unflinching dedication in servitude to the good people of Ghana.

When she was asked by the host about the supposed leaked memo on the establishment of a US military base in Ghana, the former lawmaker, once again expressed shocked and dissatisfaction and jibed the Akufo-Addo led government for ‘trading Ghana for money’ since there’s nothing like free lunch.

She vehemently took a swipe at the government and exclaimed that, the revelation if any truism could spell doom for Ghana, because the Americans often can’t be trusted in issues like this, which borders on state secrecy and intelligence and also teased that there could be more to the package and possibly not the provisions of foreign military accoutrements which would be based in Ghana.

The Former Deputy Minister later fumed and queried the merit and demerits of the said military base establishment in Ghana. And called on President Akufo-Addo to disclose the full compliments of what is entailed in the said classified dossier for public consumption and onwards perusal by interested stakeholders.

She, therefore, admonished all and sundry, irrespective of their colour, conviction, political affiliations and race to kick against the agreement binding US and Ghana on grounds of establishing a military base in Ghana.

On the sidelines of Politics, the philanthropist and ever- loving staggering with beauty- Madam Louisa Bissiw re-echoed her lasting love and dedication to the NDC fraternity and made a passionate appeal to the supporters and grassroots in the NDC to persist with mobilization of the downtrodden to galvanize massive supports for the party.

The National Women’s Organizer hopeful rekindled her desire, based on due- process and best practices which govern the NDC. And pledged to pick nomination forms to enables her to officially contest for the race to become the National Women’s Organizer of the Main Opposition , NDC ahead of 2020 general elections.
