Prophet Paul Kusi Appiah, popularly known as the Warrior Prophet of the Charisma Temple International Ministry, has stirred controversies with three of his major political prophecies, especially within the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Here are all those moments:

1.Failed prediction on Kennedy Agyapong

In 2023, Prophet Kusi Appiah became a subject of mockery on social media following his inaccurate prophecy regarding Kennedy Agyapong, Member of Parliament for Assin Central, during the NPP primaries.

In a televised interview on September 7, 2023, the prophet declared that Agyapong, the then contender in the NPP presidential primaries, would not secure more than 16% of the vote.

He boldly challenged people to call him a "false prophet" if Agyapong achieved that percentage.

"I am throwing a challenge today, that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is the president in the spiritual realm as I speak. He has combined three stars: J.J.'s charisma, President Kufuor's charisma, and his boss, so three different stars… So, I am just praying for peace but anybody who is prophesying to Kennedy that he will win is just lying to him…I am not telling lies, now that Alan is no more in the race if Kennedy can get 16%, call me a false prophet,” he asserted.

However, the NPP presidential primaries resulted in a win for Bawumia with 61.43% of the total votes, while Kennedy Agyapong came in second place with 37.41%.

The prophet's failed prediction sparked outrage on social media, with many expressing their disappointments and frustrations.

Critics on social media lambasted him for his false prophecy, questioning the credibility of self-proclaimed prophets in Ghana.

2. Accurate prediction on Bawumia’s running mate

Contrary to his failed prophecy about Agyapong, Prophet Kusi Appiah accurately predicted Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, popularly known as NAPO, as Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s running mate for the 2024 general elections

He has also prophesied their victory in the 2024 elections.

During a panel discussion on June 28, 2024, the Warrior-Prophet declared that Dr. Bawumia, currently serving as Ghana's Vice President, and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), will win the 2024 presidential election.

He went further to describe their inauguration attire, stating that Dr. Bawumia will wear a specific outfit, and Dr. Prempeh will don traditional Kente cloth on January 7, 2025.

"Everybody is aware that I predicted NPP’s running mate. Has it happened or not?" the Warrior-Prophet questioned.

He challenged those predicting a win for the opposition candidate, former President John Dramani Mahama, to disclose their own specific predictions.

3. NAPO’s presidential ambition

In his latest prophecy on July 13, 2024, Prophet Kusi Appiah has suggested that Dr. Bawumia will complete his tenure and hand over the administration to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), who will then vie for the presidency.

He asserted that he already knows NAPO’s future running mate.

“Godwin, they will insult us, but whether you like it or not, Bawumia will hand it over to NAPO and I know NAPO’s running mate. Today, I will write it on paper. Keep it somewhere if that won't come to pass. It won’t change,” he declared in an interview on Movement TV.
