The Greater Accra Regional Minister, Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus Glover, has urged the Ledzokuku and Ayawaso West Municipal Assemblies to keep the newly commissioned Flower Pot Interchange clean and free of kiosks and containers.

Speaking at the commissioning of the interchange in Accra on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, he stated that such structures would ruin the beauty of the edifice and called for collaboration between the two municipalities to maintain law and order in the area to maximise the benefits of the infrastructure.

"In this light, I would like to urge the Municipal assemblies Ledzokuku and Ayawaso West, under whose jurisdiction this interchange falls, to ensure that this area is kept clean.

"Additionally, I don't want to see kiosks; the Chief Executives should listen to me. We don't want to see kiosks and containers littered all over there. It will destroy the beauty of the edifice that we all witness and commission today so that we can open up this area to ensure that we get the benefits. Let us work together on law and order and preserve the vital infrastructure," he stated.

Constructed by the China Railway Engineering Ghana, the 802-meter dual carriageway includes a state-of-the-art overpass at the Spintex Road Flower Pot roundabout.

The interchange is expected to ease traffic flow across high-density areas like Cantonments, Burma Camp, East Legon, and Spintex, significantly reducing travel times.
