Members of Friends of Bawumia - 2008 Group (FoB'08 Foundation) on October 12, 2024, visited the Echoing Hills Village, an orphanage in Madina, a suburb of Accra, as part of activities to mark the 61st birthday of His Excellency Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, which fell on Saturday, October 5, 2024.
This visit by the FoB'08 Foundation to the orphanage to celebrate the blessed occasion with the children aligns with the birthday celebrant's philanthropic nature and echoes his usual way of engaging the less privileged in society, especially on such occasions.
The Administrator of Echoing Hills Orphanage Home, Reverend Dr. William Okyere, on behalf of the resident children at the facility expressed his appreciation to the FoB'08 Foundation and appealed to other philanthropists to come to their aid as they still have several challenges confronting the orphanage.
Reverend Dr. William Okyere recalled the historic visit made by Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia on Friday, March 29, 2024, to the orphanage and described it as a "miracle and blessing" because ever since that visit the orphanage has witnessed many significant changes.
"Ever since the Vice President visited us here, many things have changed. We have regular medical treatment, the wards don't pay fees in their schools, and we have stopped paying facility fees, among others”, he stated.
Founder and Group Chairman of FoB’08, Alhaji Dr. Mahmoud Nassir-Deen expressed his gratitude to the facility for the warm welcome given to the visiting group and commended the managers of the facility for upholding high moral standards among the children.
He promised to share the exciting news from the orphanage home with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and urged them to continue praying for him to realise his ambition of becoming the next president of Ghana.

He assured them that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will surely visit them again but as president, with solutions to the challenges facing the orphanage.
On the chances of the NPP in the December election, Alhaji Dr. Mahmoud Nassir Deen emphasised that the "break the eight" agenda of the NPP requires more than just internal cohesion and appealed to NPP supporters to campaign vigorously and, most importantly, to show up in their numbers on the election day to vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as president as well as for NPP parliamentary candidates in their respective constituencies.
