Legal Practitioner and Lecturer at the Ghana School of Law, Moses Foh-Amoaning believes “prayer” is the only weapon that can resist the force behind homosexuality worldwide.

He emphasized the need for Christians to pray continuously since ‘the battle is not only a physical one but also a spiritual battle’.

According to him, the forces behind the recent legalization of same-sex marriage in the United States of America [USA] is unfortunate – he also cited renowned gay advocate, Andrew Solomon as chief propagator – but “God will meet him [Andrew Solomon] at a point and hit him to change”.

Same-sex marriage in the United States was fully legalised in June 2015 when the United States Supreme Court ruled in Obergefell V. Hodges that state-level bans on same-sex marriage is unconstitutional.

The State apex court ruled that the denial of marriage licenses and recognition to same-sex couples violates the Due Process and the Equal Protection clauses of the Fourteenth Amendment of the United States Constitution. The ruling overturned a precedent, Baker V. Nelson.

Same-sex marriage should be prohibited in Ghana? - In an interview on NEAT FM’s "Ghana Montie" morning show, Lawyer Moses Foh-Amoaning insisted that the “devilish” act must not be entertained in Ghana.

He noted that foreign donors might influence same-sex marriage on most African countries – “But we must stand on our grounds just like what late Prof. Mills did some years back. Say no to same-sex marriage”.
