Ghana's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is currently leading ECOWAS Foreign Ministers delegation to the United States to confer with the UN Security Council on the Ivorian crisis.
The ECOWAS delegation is made up of its Executive Secretary Dr. Ibn Chambas and the Foreign Ministers of Cote d'Ivoire, Guinea, Nigeria and Senegal.
The meeting follows the ECOWAS Special Summit on the Ivorian Crisis held recently in Accra. The delegation would also call on Mr. Collin Powell, US Secretary of State in Washington to discuss the deployment of UN troops and US intervention in Cote d'Ivoire.
