A security expert, Adam Bona, has revealed the circumstances under which a former director of the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), Ambassador Rasheed Seidu Inussah, lost his job.

According to Bona, Inusah was fired when he returned from a trip to a West African country to investigate the case of the three missing Takoradi girls.

YEN.com.gh understands that he was tasked with the job of negotiating for the return of the three missing girls.

Bona added that Inussah returned with a lot of evidence, which pointed to where the girls were being held.

However, upon his return, President Akufo-Addo relieved him of his duties, with no reasons given.

Sources however reveal that he was kicked out because of security lapses in recent times, as well as issues surrounding the kidnappings.

Bona argued that security officials should have interrogated Innusah, instead of dismissing him.

The director-general of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), Maame Tiwaah Addo-Danquah, has been in the news in recent times over the fate of the girls.

YEN.com.gh understands she earlier said security officials know where the girls are, only to later admonish the girls’ families to keep hoping for their return.
