The former Managing Director of Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Company Limited (BOST), Alfred Obeng Boateng has donated building materials worth several thousands of Ghana Cedis to Adukrom Community in the Bibiani-Anhwiaso-Bekwai Municipality for the completion of a nursery school that had been abandoned for almost 5 years due to lack of funds.

Mr. Obeng Boateng said his gesture was as a result of the urgent nature of a call on him by the community to support the project.

He explained, “I quickly responded to the community's request within one week because I was touched when I saw the tree under which children of 2 to 5 years have been learning and more importantly when the Assemblyman, Mr. Moses Fafaana, narrated that there had been instances particularly during windy days, where snakes had been fallen on these children and one could imagine the trauma associated with it”.

He pleaded with leaders of the community, to support the education of children in the community.

“The community should do their best to assist the children in their education to prepare them well for better future,” he added.

The Chairman of Friends of Approachers, Mr Solomon Osei who was part of the delegation, also advised the skillful youth in the community, to complete the building project on time, after receiving the materials.

The chief in the area, was grateful to Mr Obeng Boateng and the executives of Friends of Approachers who accompanied him, for their swift response to the call.

According to Nana Adiyiah, the community had appealed to different individuals and organizations to support the project but to no avail.

He assured that the school project will be completed in due time for the children to use.
