The 2012 New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary candidate for the Adentan constituency, Madam Francess Essiam has rubbished media report that she is returning to the ruling National Democratic Congress.

Friday’s edition of the Informer Newspaper reported that Madam Essiam has declared her intention to make a “U” turn to the NDC.

Though she used to be the NDC’s National Women’s Organizer, Madam Essiam has downplayed the publication and threatened to sue the Informer newspaper.

“I have said it that I am appealing to the party’s lawyers that immediately I am taking Andy Kankam to court and I don’t want any Media Commission matter.”

She fumed, “How can I go back to the NDC for what; I have not made any overturn to the NDC, John Mahama is not my friend in any way or by any manner and I have not contacted them in any way or by any manner.”

Madam Francess Essiam believed the Electoral Commission robbed Nana Akuffo Addo and the NPP at the 2012 elections and vowed her loyalty to the party at all cost.

“Where ever duty demanded of me in the party I have gone; party members who have come to me for assistance, those hospitalized, school fees problems; I have assisted them.”

She also declared her intention to contest the 2016 Parliamentary election on the ticket of the NPP.

“As somebody who led the constituency, invested heavily and fought a good fight and secured over 30,000 votes, I have not disgraced myself at all; so I will tell Andy Kankam that 2016 I am back in the saddle for the NPP.”
