Hearts of Oak deputy coach Henry Wellington has disclosed that he was not given any training program for the forthcoming season by Frank Nuttal before the Scottish coach left Ghana for holidays after the end of last season.

The Phobians commenced their pre-season training on Monday without their Scottish head trainer who is expected to arrive in the country this weekend.

The training was supervised assistant coach Henry Wellington but according to the spokesman of the club, Kwame Opare Addo, head coach, Frank Nuttall prepared the upcoming season's training program for his technical staff before leaving for holidays in the aftermath of last season.

But according to Wellington, the Scottish coach left the shores of the country without leaving a report or training program as declared by the club's scribe.

“The coach (Frank Nuttall) never left a report or training program. I don’t know whether he gave it to the management or not,” Wellington told Asempa FM.

“The coach directed me to start training with the players only if the club pays the players’ salaries. Now i’m working according to the instruction of the head coach and without a program.”

Hearts of Oak are preparing for their first pre-season match when they come up against Asante Kotoko in the return leg of the Ghana@60 celebrations game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday December 24.
