Hearts of Oak head coach, Frank Nuttall, has revealed the reasons behind his late arrival for the team’s preseason training which kicked start last week.
On Wednesday, Nuttall took the team through their first training session ahead of the 2017/18 football season at the Ajax Park Legon, having arrived in Accra on Tuesday
evening.
In an interview with Ghanacrusader.com, after the team’s training session on Wednesday, Nuttall highlighted how long it took them to rearrange the team’s preseason training scheduled after the date for the second leg of the Ghana@60 match was revealed.
He said: “There was never a fixed date for my arrival because when they season ended there was no 60th-anniversary game pending on 24th December, and that was new thing that happens during the close season.
“So it took a bit a time to work out how going to approach the preparations and when we were going to start and how we were going to start as well as organising ticket to get me back,” Nuttall said in the interview.
