Free Market Security Markers In Manhyia Palace

Thu, 31 Jan 2008 Source: Agbodza, Kwami

It must always be proper and decent to observe all protocols whether in the courts of Dagadu of Akpini State (Kpando) or Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene or Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of UK.

So first, all traditional and customary protocols and courtesies observed.

Now to the issue of free market security markers in Manhyia Palace. It is clear the British Government and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II are up to their external interventions to protect British Interests.

But when Mr Nicholas Westcott, British High Commissioner in Ghana, paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene, he must have been put in a very difficult future position, after he was presented with a tie-pin depicting Otumfuo's crown by Oheneba Adusei Poku, Akyempimhene.

The background to the courtesy call must undoubtedly be the security of Ghana?s Free Market and the stabilising role the Asantehene will play should Kibaki?s Electoral Fraud come to Ghana, or in this case, could be prevented from coming to Ghana.

Conservative Free Market NPP rule in Ghana has benefited the key External Free Marketers differently: the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Japan and now China. The majority of Ghanaians have benefited little.

War (including electoral warfare) is one of the instruments the Free Market uses to redistribute markets. Ghanaians who do not understand ?Free Market? crisis policy strategy are screaming that Kenyan violence cannot happen in Ghana.

We have argued that there is no such thing as national Security. And that there is rather only the security of organised Interests if you like organised Market interests. Each interest would like to have undisputed control of Ghana?s Government especially the Security and Executive wings. Why? It is so that the resources of Ghana and the political policy of the Ghanaian State shall be used to advance their Market Interests.

According to the evidence on www.ghanaweb.com Ghana had two parallel security systems. They must be answering to competing Market Interests. Michael V Hayden visited Francis Poku. The central Security issue must be whose Presidency can protect US Free Market interest in Ghana.

Following the Free Market Plan failure to assassinate the political leadership of NPP (John Kufour, Nana Akuffo-Addo and Alan Kyerematen) the Asantehene was the mediator in the ensuing security struggle after the sacking of Francis Poku. As reported: ?Meanwhile, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Wednesday night met with President Kufuor and Francis Poku for almost two hours meeting.?

A few days after this meeting Mr Nicholas Westcott, British High Commissioner in Ghana, paid a courtesy call on the Asantehene with their concerns for British Interests. The cover was Mr Gary Nicholls? - (Second Secretary, Political, Press and Public Affairs Officer at the British High Commission) ? end of duty tour in Ghana.

But clearly the Free Market in Ghana is not working in the interests of the majority of Ghanaians including subjects of Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. The Asantehene must be right when he said that ?traditional rulers were concerned about the welfare of their people and that was why they always advocated peace and unity among their subjects.?

But according to the report, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene said nothing publicly against the British Government?s deliberate Free Market policies that breed poverty and therefore undermine peace and unity in Ghana. His Highness ?praised the British government for the budgetary support that it had been giving Ghana for a number of years to enable the government strengthen her economy.? I find this worrying because British government policy generally has never been in the organised interest of ?Ghanaians and Africans in general?.

But His Majesty says it has improved Ghana?s human rights record and reduced poverty. What about the worsening Human Rights record of Britain?s own racist Border and Immigration Agency. Their contracted Staff?s continuing indecent, inhumane, physical and verbal assaults on Africans in general. They even assault Black pregnant women. Only recently, the British Government deported a sick Ghanaian when they knew their supported health policies of cash and carry in Ghana meant she could not access free or affordable healthcare in Ghana. The opposition British Conservative Party even intends to abolish the Human Rights of Ghanaians by eliminating The Human Rights Act.
