Oheneyere Akomaa Tipa, queen mother of Behinase in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region, has commended the NPP government for its commitment to education and its positive impact on the lives of Ghanaians, with particular emphasis on the Free SHS policy.
"Though chiefs and queens are not allowed in active politics, I would never mince words. The NPP is the party that deserves our support," she stated.
Speaking at a packed gathering of chiefs, ministers of God, and NPP supporters in Trede, Ashanti Region, to welcome the party's flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and his campaign team, the queen mother highlighted the importance of retaining the NPP in power.
"This party has a proven track record of policies ranging from health to education that resonate with the various environments in Ghana," she said, urging those present to remain steadfast in their support for the NPP and work towards its continued success.
"When it comes to education and the Free SHS policy under this government, they have performed very well, providing good training to the students," she added.
Sharing her personal experience, Oheneyere Akomaa Tipa revealed that her son, who benefited from the Free SHS programme, is now a university student and has even secured a job while still in school.
"By the good works of the NPP, he's gotten a job despite being in school. And all these are by the kind courtesy of the NPP government," she said.
The queen mother expressed her pride in the government's accomplishments. "This government has made us proud, and we, the queen mothers, are always swollen-headed due to your good works," she remarked.
Concluding her address, she encouraged everyone, especially first-time voters, to turn out in their numbers and vote for the NPP in the upcoming elections.
"I still stand by my belief that we must be vigilant and vote for number one (1). I urge everyone, both adults and teens, especially those who have turned 18 and above, to come out and vote," she appealed.
