The French Ambassador to Ghana, Jules Armand Animbossou, has admonished Ghanaians to prioritise upholding democratic values ahead of the December 7, 2024, general elections.
The diplomat posited that upholding our democratic values in the upcoming elections will contribute to the country’s continued constitutional order.
He said Ghana is known as a shining example across the globe, and that was something we ought to cherish and protect.
He made the remarks while addressing a gathering at the Annual Cocktail event with the French business community and the launch of the France-Ghana Economic Report 2023-2024 in Accra.
Ambassador Animbossou wished the country well and prayed for a peaceful, free, and fair election process in Ghana.
“Ghana is known for being the beacon of democracy in the region and beyond, and it must continue to promote democratic values and respect for constitutional order. I wish Ghana fair and transparent elections,” he said.
