Private legal practitioner, Obiri Boahen, has urged the Electoral Commission (EC) to give the Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) and other parties enough time to correct their fresh errors .
He said the issue that came before the High Court was not about 105 errors and even when the EC went to the Supreme Court and requested that the High Court decision be quashed, the arguments were about just an error.
Surprisingly, the EC has identified new errors committed by the parties;these include PPP; from 2 to 105, NDP; 1 to 33, APC; 2 to 92 and PNC 395.
Speaking to Ekuorba Gyasi on Atinka AM Drive Tuesday, the lawyer made a legal point saying – in law a party should not subject the other to a note of surprise and that the fresh errors are a surprise to PPP.
According to him, if the EC had brought all the errors and issues before the Supreme Court, probably the ruling would have been different.
