Agona Swedru, Dec 5, GNA - Prof Kwame Frimpong Boateng, a New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential aspirant, has called on other aspirants to conduct their campaign in a healthy manner to ensure peace and tranquility in the party.

He said the Danquah/Busia group started the party over 150 years ago with unity and love and that trend and spirit must be followed.

Prof Frimpong Boateng said this at the Central Regional Annual Delegate conference at Agona Swedru.

Prof Frimpong Boateng, who is the Chief Executive of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, said the party was receiving too many complaints from the members, especially polling station chairmen, about the denial of resources.

"It is only with unity and love that the party will be formidable and stay in power for many years."

Prof Frimpong Boateng appealed to the delegates to give him the nod in the primaries to lead the party to victory in Election 2008.

Mr. Kwamena Duncan, the Central Regional Secretary of the party, expressed regret about the number of court cases against some constituency executives in the region. He appealed to members of parliament to visit their constituencies regularly because constant visit would help to strengthen the party.
