Kumbungu MP Ras Mubarak has said he will start riding a bicycle to parliament from Tuesday, 6 November 2018, as a way of drawing attention to the hard times experienced by ordinary Ghanaians vis-à-vis the constant rise in the price of fuel products at the pumps.

“Doing a 17-km bicycle ride to parliament from tomorrow as a way of highlighting the increasing cost of fuel and harsh economy under the NPP gov't.

“Life is tough for ordinary Ghanaians”, Mr Mubarak wrote on his Facebook wall.

Under the deregulated pricing regime, the prices of fuel see a change every two weeks. The prices, most often, go up.

There have been a few times that they have either remained stable or dropped.

About a month ago, the prices of fuel hit the GHS5 per litre mark sparking discussions about the difficulties and hardships Ghanaians are going through under the Akufo-Addo government.

ClassFMonline.com has learnt that some other minority MPs intend joining Mr Mubarak’s bike-ride protest.
