Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Distribution Companies (BDCs) Senyo Hosi has assured that by Tuesday, July 1 there will be enough stock of petroleum for motorists at most fuel stations.

“I believe by Tuesday, the entire situation should normalize,” Mr Hosi stated on TV3’s News 360 on Friday, June 27.

The country’s capital has recently been plagued with acute shortage of petrol following what the BDCs claim is government’s GH¢1.5 billion indebtedness to them.

But an intervention from the Chief of Staff, Prosper Bani, and some officers of the Central Bank at the instance of President John Dramani Mahama has settled the seeming impasse.

“I am really very proud about the intervention of the president,” Mr Hosi remarked on News 360.

He said the BDCs have sent letters of credit to their trading partners and by Tuesday Ghanaian motorists should get enough stock at all filling stations.
