Family and Friends gathered to pay their last respects and also attended the
traditional funeral rites for the late; Mrs. Florence Abrafi Sobre.
Mrs. Sobre passed away on March 12, 2009 at Bellevue Hospital, Manhattan,
New York.
Viewing occurred earlier at St. Marks United Methodist Church - 2017 Beverly
Road, Brooklyn (Bet Ocean Ave. & East 21 St)
Officiating ministers were Rev. Dr. Samuel Acquah Arhin, Rev. Prince Donkor
and Rev Juliana Mensah
The traditional funeral rites occurred at the Nazareth High School on E 58
St. Brooklyn, NY (Bet. Clarendon Rd and Avenue D).
Music was provided by Katabo Soundz, Videography by Twin Video Production
and it was hosted by; Kofi Boateng aka The Legend.
Among the special guests was Hiplife Star; Kontihene also known as Emmanuel
Nana Appiah Boateng. he brought many of the guests on their feet dancing to
his hit songs; "aketesia" and "kro hin kro".
Krontihene, who is a friend of Charles Ogyiri, son-in-law (aka Big Apple
Soundz) paid tribute to the family of Mrs. Sobre.
Mrs Sobre left behind;
CHILDREN: Joyce Gifty Sobre, Stella Sobre, Fred Sobre & Jeffrey Sobre
GRAND CHILDREN: Prince Ogyiri, Derrick Sobre, Kevin Ogyiri,
Brian Asare Jr., Nicole Asare, Precious Asare, Maya Asare
IN-LAWS: Charles Ogyiri (aka Big Apple Sounds), Brian Asare
BROTHERS: Rev. Father Sylvester Essien, Philip K. Mensah, James Adjei, Mr.
Adu Gyamfi and Mr. Adusei,
SISTERS: Elizabeth Adjei, Margaret Adjei and Mad. Yaa Dormaa
The Sobre family would like to thank all for mourning with them and also
