The future of the youth of Ghana cannot be guaranteed under President John Mahama and his National Democratic Congress (NDC), the opposition New Patriotic Party’s National Youth Organiser, Sammy Awuku, has said, adding that “It is time to register for change.”

Mr Awuku, in a statement, noted that Mr Mahama’s administration had lost the popular youth support in all the 10 regions and was resorting to desperate last-minute manoeuvres of lies and deceit under the guise of accounting to the people to hoodwink them into voting for him in the upcoming November polls.

According to the statement, the youth wing of the NPP will, on Wednesday April 27, embark on a nationwide awareness campaign to get the youth to register in the limited voter registration exercise scheduled to take place nationwide from April 28 – May 8.

The campaign, dubbed ‘Ghana Youth Arise for Change’ will see the youth of the party distribute stickers and other materials of the party to sensitise young Ghanaians to register and vote for the NPP in the polls.

GHANA YOUTH: ARISE FOR CHANGE, 2016

The National Youth Wing of the New Patriotic Party will this morning Wednesday April 27, embark on a nationwide awareness campaign ahead of the upcoming limited registration exercise.

The National Youth Wing in collaboration with our regional and constituency youth wings and TESCON will be positioned at vantage points across the country to distribute stickers and other materials of the party.

The Youth Wing acknowledges the fact that the first step towards kicking out the incompetent and ineffective Mahama administration will be to get many young and potential fresh voters to register.

The future of the youth of this country cannot be guaranteed under President John Mahama and his NDC; it is time to register for change.

As the Electoral Commission gears up for the upcoming limited registration exercise, it is our duty to make sure the youth take keen interest to be registered to vote.

We are enthused by the courage and determination of the many Ghanaian youth who are already organising and mobilising for change. In all the ten regions, it is clear the Mahama administration has lost the popular youth support and has resorted to desperate last-minute manoeuvres of lies and deceit under the guise of accounting to the people.

Dubbed ‘Ghana Youth Arise for Change’, the exercise will take place in all 10 regions simultaneously.

The wing is by this statement calling on all well-meaning Ghanaians to join us and to make this awareness program a success.

Thank you.

Signed Sammy Awuku National Youth Organizer, NPP.
