Accra, April 25, GNA - Personnel of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), have strengthened their battle readiness with a 15 km walk to gain fitness and endurance.
About 400 officers and men took part in the exercise codenamed: "Exercise Fast Foot," which is part of GAF's routine training programme. The exercise would be replicated in all the garrisons across the country. Brigadier General Ishmael Ben Quartey, Commander Support Services Brigade, who addressed the troop after the exercise, said it was to help the troops to gain physical fitness and endurance to defend the country at all times.
He said it was also to raise the moral among the three services of the GAF. He thanked the soldiers for their willingness to defend the country at the peril of their lives.
He commended the troop on behalf of the Chief of Defense Staff and other service commanders for the hilarity with which they took the exercise. Brig. Quartey told them to be discipline and aspire for professional competence at all times.
