The Umbrella Association for Legal Practitioners in Ghana, the Ghana Bar Association, has held a crisis meeting over the yet to be released investigative work on the judiciary by Ghana’s outstanding investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The video which is said to have captured various activities of over 32 high profile judges and other 180 judicial service workers taking various forms of bribes including sexual favours is causing deep fear and anxiety in the judicial system.

In an interview on Rainbow Radio 87.5 FM breakfast show host, Kwame Tutu, the National spokesperson for the Ghana Bar Association cum private legal practitioner Lawyer Anthony Forson Jnr. disclosed that the Bar leadership held an emergency meeting to discuss the yet to be released video.

He stated that such hardcore evidence will help purge the noble institution of bad elements denigrating justice delivery in the country.

Lawyer Anthony Forson Jnr, however, urged Ghanaians to be circumspect about how the corrupt acts of a few are generalized since some are said to have rejected offers of bribe on the video.

He noted that if the video and all other evidence happen to be true, and all legal proceedings for termination of appointment of those captured are met; they will forfeit their licenses to operate in Ghana as they cannot be trusted.
