GES: Efforts being made to implement new scheme of service

Accra, Jan. 22, GNA - The Ghana Education Service (GES) on Monday said every effort was being made to ensure the full implementation of the new scheme of service and new salary structure in February this year.

A statement signed by Mr Joseph Odom, Head of Public Relations of (GES), the said work involved in the payment of suspended salaries of some teachers had caused the postponement of the implementation of the new service scheme, which had been scheduled for Janaury.

The statement said payment of suspended salaries had been completed and this would reflect on the pay slips of affected teachers at the end of January.
