GES has asked headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi SHS to step aside over sexual misconduct allegations
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has directed Headmaster of Dzodze-Penyi Senior High School, Joshua Vidzro, to temporarily step aside following allegations of sexual misconduct.
A statement to that effect, issued on December 6, 2025, read, "The decision has been taken to ensure a thorough and impartial investigation into the claims. We remain committed to maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment for all students."

The GES explained that until investigations into the matter are concluded, the headmaster will remain off his post.
"The headmaster will remain relieved of his duties until the investigation is concluded. Appropriate measures will be taken based on the findings," it noted.
The GES further reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining ethics in the education sector,

"We are treating this matter with utmost seriousness and remain committed to upholding ethical standards in the education sector," it added.
