Ajumako(C/R), July 25, GNA - District Directors of Education, have been urged to ensure the proper implementation the pilot programme to improve basic education.
The Reverend Ama Afo Blay, Director General of the Ghana Education Service made the call at the end of a five-day workshop on the implementation of the programme at Ajumako, on Friday.
A total of 140 participants from some deprived districts attended the workshop organised by the GES.
Rev Afo Blay, said donors had spent huge sums of money on the programme and urged them to that it succeeded to improve teaching and learning in schools.
She later signed Performance Agreements with the Directors of the District that would benefit from the programme, appealed to them to work as a team and to cooperate with their District Chief Executives to ensure the success of the scheme.
The Director General appealed to them to be transparent and warned that any district, which infringed the agreement would be sanctioned.
