GH¢20K bounty announced as CCTV footage of Abelemkpe robbery emerges

A group of armed robbers, on Thursday, September 25, 2025, reportedly stole money and items in a vehicle at Abelemkpe, a suburb of Accra, near the Santana Hotel.

According to details available to GhanaWeb, the suspects broke into the said vehicle - a grey Mitsubishi Pajero parked by the roadside, and made away with a dark bag full of cash, a laptop, a passport, and other valuables.

CCTV footage from the scene captured both the Mitsubishi Pajero and a salon car allegedly driven by the suspects.

One of the videos available to GhanaWeb showed the salon car leaving the scene of the robbery on an untarred path close to a major road.

Another clip from the hotel’s CCTV captured the suspects’ vehicle speeding off on a tarred road.

The victims have since announced a GH¢20,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of the stolen items and/or the arrest of the suspects.
