GMet lists areas likely to experience thunderstorms, rain on Monday

The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has forecast a mix of sunshine and cloudy conditions across most parts of the country on Monday, August 31, 2026.

According to GMet’s afternoon weather update shared on its official X page, thunderstorms or rain are possible across parts of the Middle, Transition and Northern sectors from the afternoon into the evening.

The agency said coastal areas and nearby inland communities could also experience slight rain or drizzle in a few places.

Mostly cloudy weather, rain expected across Ghana

“Sunshine & clouds will dominate most areas this afternoon,” GMet said in its forecast.

Residents in the affected areas have therefore been advised to remain alert as weather conditions could change during the afternoon and evening.

GMet also indicated that relatively cool temperatures are expected during the night and early morning across the country.
