GOIL donates GH¢200,000 to Covid-19 Fund, items to 37 Military Hospital

Ghana’s leading oil marketing company, GOIL, continues its massive support to Government's cause to protect citizens from contracting the coronavirus, and contain the virus as much as possible. GOIL has, therefore, donated an amount of GH¢ 200,000 to the National COVID-19 fund.

Handing the cheque to the Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the Chief Executive of GOIL, Kwame Osei-Prempeh said his organisation will continue to support government and Ghanaians at all times.

GOIL has also donated some health and sanitary items to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra.

The items amounting to some GH¢50,000 include 100 pieces of full body gear, 100 pieces of surgical gowns, 100 gallons of hand sanitizer, 100 pieces of latex hand gloves, 100 two litters gallons of rubbing alcohol, and 75 gallons of 4.5 litter gallons of disinfectant.

The Chief Operating Officer of GOIL, Alex Adzew indicated that considering the crucial role the Hospital plays in the fight against COVID-19, GOIL deemed it fit to help the hospital’s personnel execute their duties effectively.

Additionally, the COO of GOIL, revealed that the company will continue to fuel the vehicles of the operational team helping to implement ongoing restrictions on movement of persons in Ghana.

The Commanding Officer of 37 Military Hospital, Brid. General Nii Adjah Obodai thanked GOIL and stated how critical their support would be to the dispensation of duties at the hospital.

Goil had previously donated to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital and the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU).
