GPHA former workers deny strike action FORMER voluntary retired workers of Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) have denied ever taking part in moves to disrupt operations at Tema harbour, as was reported in the Chronicle of November 20, 2002.
A protest note sent to the Chronicle and signed by Mr. Anthony Boas, secretary to the retired workers, said "we did not take part in the alleged incident at Tema port, but were rather surprised to read in the Chronicle that the Tema police tried to warn us from such acts as stated, which is untrue."
The note went on, "we have no intention on the said matter, but we only wrote to them.
They should stop making these sorts of allegations, but rather reply to our letters." The note also denied the allegation said to have been made by Mr. Kwadwo Bonnah, chief of personnel.
