Newly appointed Asante Kotoko manager, Coach Zdravko Logarusic, will seek to continue the team’s impressive performance in the Ghana Premier League when they welcome Elmina Sharks at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The fixture marks the first meeting of the two sides in a competitive match although both sides have met once last year in a friendly match which saw the Porcupine Warriors snatch victory.
The match will also witness the meeting between one of the two tactical authorities clashing in a battle that will at a time when Kotoko have had a relatively good start in the competition.
Elmina Sharks will find the Porcupine Warriors hard to overcome in front of their passionate fans who will throng the stadium confident of victory after securing three wins and a draw in their four outings and are second on the table with 10 points.
Elmina Sharks have won, drawn and lost a game against league leaders, Aduana Stars, in their debut match of the season.
Wa All Stars will try and overturn their disappointing results since returning from playing in Africa on Inter Allies in their second successive home match.
Inter Allies will be relying on their stupendous form against Dwarfs while Wa All Stars, Enos Adepa’s side, will have to dig deep to replicate their outstanding performances which earned them the league title last season.
Wa All Stars have now picked up one point from two matches in their last two matches against Hearts of Oak and Elmina Sharks respectively while eighth placed Inter Allies will also be hoping to clinch the maximum points at stake after recording just a single win in the league.
League leaders, Aduana Stars, will welcome Accra Hearts of Oak at the Agyemang Badu Park, Dormaa, in the Brong Ahafo Region.
Meanwhile, a very thrilling but dicey battle of supremacy and pride will see Berekum Chelsea slug it out with AshGold at the Berekum Golden City Park.
