GPhA-USA mourns murdered pharmacist in Michigan

The Ghanaian Pharmacists Association (GPhA-USA) would like to express our heartfelt condolences to the family of our fellow colleague, Mr. Michael Baffour Addo, a competent and compassionate pharmacist who devoted his time and energy, making the life and health of other individuals better.

Michael was shot and killed at work in a Rite Aid Pharmacy in Lansing, Michigan. Ghanaian Pharmacists across the nation have indeed lost a loving, dear, and devoted colleague and our heart is sadden. It is our prayer that the Good Lord keeps him in His bosom.

We (GPhA-USA) stand united and condemn such senseless act and we hope the perpetrator is brought to full justice of the land.

GPhA USA is establishing this memorial fund to cater for his family back home with funeral and burial arrangements of our late brother and also to support the wife and 11 month old baby he left behind.

Michael's body will be flown to Ghana, his motherland for the funeral and burial. There are no words to express this tragic loss so we are pleading and encouraging all pharmacists and especially Ghanaian pharmacists all over the United States to contribute towards this memorial fund.
