The Ghana Real Estate Development Association (GREDA) has said it is awaiting response from President Nana Addo Dakwa Akufo-Addo after presenting a proposal to build 20,000 houses.
Executive Director of GREDA, Sammy Amegayibor, said President Akufo-Addo in last year April, asked GREDA to develop a proposal to build 20,000 housing unit.
Accordingly, GREDA has developed the proposals and submitted to the president.
But the GREDA boss said they are yet to receive any feedback from the president.
“We actually met the president himself last year around April and we had a frank discussion where the president eventually tasked GREDA to try and come up with affordable housing.
“He tasked us that he is expecting GREDA to come up with a proposal that could develop a minimum of 20,000 housing a year.
“We went back to the president with our proposal and we are yet to receive a feedback from him.”
