Accra, 23 Sept, GNA - The leadership of the Ghana Registered Nurses Association (GRNA), has agreed to request all Nurses to return to their normal duties, while discussions on their grievances continued.
This follows a meeting convened to deliberate on the concerns of the Nurses in relation to the various discrepancies that exist in the administration of the Additional Duty Hours Allowance.
It was under the auspices of the Minister of Health, Dr Kwaku Afriyie, Chairman of the Ghana Health Service (GHS) Council and the Minister's Technical Team on one hand and the GRNA and other health professional groups on the other.
A statement signed by the Minister, the president of GRNA and the Chairman GHE Council said discussions were on going and the meeting was adjourned to tomorrow Friday 24th September 2004. It said: "It is hoped that, with the frankness and good spirit engendered throughout the discussions, amicable solutions to the grievances expressed by the Nurses would be found."
