Ashantigold defender, Richard Osei Agyemang is anticipating what he terms as a “special” game when they play his former club Asante Kotoko in their Ghana Premier League match day five fixture this Sunday at the Len Clay Sports Stadium.
The centre back says Ashgold will be playing the Kotoko game to win since they’re placing importance on their home matches this season. Speaking to FootballMadeInGhana.com ahead of the regional derby, Osei Agyeman revealed that they have their minds on a sound victory against his former side.
“It’s a special game for the team not only me. We’re preparing ourselves for a win. We’ve kept it in our minds and our coaches are speaking to us on that game. If you want to win the league, your home matches are very important” he said.
He agreed that it will be a tiring match but it’s one that they will come out victorious. “It’s a big match and it will be a difficult one. We can’t talk about it here until we are on the field.” Ashgold lead the league table with 10 points after four rounds of matches while Kotoko are 4th with seven points.
