Fri, 24 Jan 2003 Source: EVENING NEWS

The MP for Wenchi, Mr. Asiedu Nketia, has said that any keen observer in the country would notice that the whole country, especially the ?mobrowa? group, is in a mourning state.

Mr. Nketia who was speaking on Radio Gold?s newspaper review programme, said ?we cannot pretend to be dancing as I saw the President doing the other time after fuel price increases?.?

In an apparent reference to a T.V. news item which featured President Kufuor dancing at the 2002 West African Soldiers Social Activities (WASSA) of the General Headquarters of GAF in Accra, Mr. Asiedu Nketia said that should not be the conduct of somebody who is representing the suffering masses, and that the behaviour of the President did not create a very good impression about the Government.
