Geroge Opare Addo and Malik Basintale
The Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, George Opare Addo, has stated that the government aims to establish job centres in every district across the country.
Speaking during a working visit to the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), the minister underscored the government’s commitment to decentralizing job placement services.
“The assurance I am giving is that President Mahama is going to work hard to reposition the YEA as a place where young people can seek refuge whenever they are looking for job opportunities and training.
“We have a similar policy in our manifesto, and our commitment is to scale it up so that similar centres exist in all districts. Job centres should be closer to job seekers, allowing young people to easily access employment opportunities," he said.
He emphasised that this initiative is designed to enhance the employment experience for young people across the nation.
The minister was received by Malik Basintale, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Youth Employment Agency (YEA), who also expressed his willingness to collaborate in achieving their shared goal.
This morning, I received a delegation from the ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment led by the sector Minister, Hon George Opare Addo.
We had great interactions on how H.E @JDMahama 's vision of creating opportunities for young people will be achieved.
