German Government Donates to 37

The German Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Mr. Harald Loeschner will hand over six tonnes of medical supplies and medical equipment to the Minister of Defence, Dr Kwame Addo-Kufuor at the 37th Military Hospital today at 9.30 am.

According to an agreement recently concluded between the Ministries of Defence of the two countries, the German Ministry of Defence provided electrocardiographs, surgical, nursing and laboratory instruments worth EURO 300,000 (?2.4 billion).

At the same time some 500 boxes of vaccines valued at about one million Euros will be donated by private organisations in Germany to the Rotarians of Ghana. The Ghanaian Military is taking care of the distribution of the vaccines throughout Ghana.

The German donation is to be used exclusively for humanitarian purposes
