The Ghana Airports Company Limited has been fingered in an alleged fictitious deal after it has been established it awarded a contract to a non-existent security company according to documents sighted by MyNewsGH.com.
A copy of the contract document with reference number GR/GACL/0007/2017 signed on December 22, 2017 in possession with this portal indicate that Zein Security Services Systems Limited was required to provide certain technical services to the former.
A letter was written to the Director General of the Registrar General’s Department on March 7, 2017 demanding a search on whether the said security company was a registered entity under the laws of Ghana and when it was also registered.
The letter further requested to know who the owners, Directors, subscribers and members of the company are as well as their official registered address.
The Registrar General in a response to the request in a letter dated, March 20, 2018 stated "search conducted did not show trace of Zein Security Services Systems Limited "directing owners to submit a copy of any convincing evidence to the Registrar General’s Department for verification and the necessary action.
The letter signed by one Celestina Donkor Nutakor, Assistant Records Officer for the Registrar of Companies however disclosed Zein Security Company Limited, was incorporated on November 11, 2013, commenced business the same day.
It had one Seeta Badar, Abu Zein, Stanley Tanor and Mohammed Zein as Directors with a million shares unlike the other which had no records.
