Beposo (Ash) Oct. 20, GNA - A District Chief Executive has appealed to Ghanaian Muslims to find innovative ways of training leaders to attract Muslim youth to take responsible positions in the religion. Mr. Haruna Oppong Boateng, the District Chief Executive of Sekyere Central District, said this during the 39th Annual Convention and Fund Raising of the Ghana Muslim Mission at Beposo on Sunday. Mr. Oppong Boateng said most of the Muslim leaders in the country especially the Imams are aged but there are no formal ways to train others to replace them. He said education is the key to both personal and national development and urged the Muslim community to give attention to their children's education. He said the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has demonstrated recognition and respect for the Muslim community in Ghana by selecting Muslims as the party's running mate for three consecutive elections, and appealed to them to recognize this respect and reciprocate by voting massively for the NPP. Mr. Alhassan Mohammed, Secretary of the mission at Beposo, said the first phase of the new Mosque now under construction at Beposo cost 50,000 Ghana cedis with the second phase estimated to cost 60,000 Ghana cedis and appealed for generous contributions for its early completion. Dr. Sheik Amin Bonsu, of Amin Scientific Herbal Clinic said the mission was stabling Beposoman Senior High School this academic year and urged people in the locality to enrol their wards.
